Prof. Maurizio Barbeschi is a scientist with 30+ years of experience in innovation, global health emergencies, weapons disarmament and peace, and systems’ strategic analysis and forecast. He specializes in the intersection of health security, science, and conventional and unconventional solutions. Barbeschi pioneered mass gathering medicine, fulfilled key roles on UN missions, acted as former senior advisor and team leader to the World Health Organization (WHO), and contributes to academic work in several universities.
